Match report Winning the toss Lenny chose to bowl and while we rather gave them a few too many extras, Harrison (with the help of a fine catch from Joel) and Joel himself, collected a wicket each. While their numbers 1 & 3 batted with some fluency they never really got away from us thanks to all the bowlers and a much improved fielding performance.
Left 119 to chase Joel was soon into his stride and rushed to a well made 17 before being marginally short for a tight run. Meanwhile Lenny found gaps and picked singles (and the odd three) off to see him to a deserved retirement.
This brought Alfie (on batting debut) and Tom (in his second ever innings) together. It has to be said that while we took the result to within 2 balls of the end - they never looked to be in trouble. They balanced tidy hitting with aggressive but safe running and saw us to a deserved win.
