Match report A pretty comfortable win against a young Sarisbury side. Perhaps it was the lack of pressure having posted a decent score but handing the opposition 61 extras could well come back to bite us another day.
Batting first the Harry's were soon into their stride, HG looking for, and finding, the back wall regularly to retire. HW looked for 3's more often but retired first with a boundary. A rare early run out for Dan brought Ollie and Moni together who, until Ollie was caught looking rather hopfully for the back wall, ran well. Moni retired too having played his best batting hand yet. This left Will and the Harry's to see us home. Despite being in for 3 overs Will barely got a ball to face as first HG, and then after he retired a second time, HW battered the back wall.
In the field our ground work was as good as ever and Ollie kept tidily again. However,after a great start with Dan going for only 4 in the opening over and HW striking first ball of the second, our radar went haywire as we bowled 18 wides (54 runs) and 7 no-balls. That said Harry G's spell was outstanding taking 1 for 11 (inc only one wide!) The other wickets to fall went to Will thanks to HW's safe hands with Moni & Ollie combining for the simplest of run outs. That was the first time we'd not taken full bowling points which was a shame particularly as had we held catches and made them play more often we could well of bowled them out too.
We look forward to our next outing when I'm sure our bowling will be back on it's A game. Another win and still top of the league. Keep it up lads.
