Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Lost 19 Runs

Match report Tonight saw us put in our very best fielding performance of the year. Thanks to straight bowling, brave fielding (Connor's knee!), top catches and a direct hit run out we got 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers were Jamie & Henry for their two wickets each both with the help of Henry's safe hands (and Kyle's too). Fin and particularly Suni were unlucky to come up against their big hitters who batted really well and took them just that bit too far.
In reply Suni and George started really well against their best bowler but Suni got three good ones to set us back a bit. Jamie and Theo kept us moving forward but it was Moni and Fin who with an unbeaten partnership of 36 (24 of which came from Moni's bat in his best knock of the season) got us set up well. While Kyle and Henry kept us going with a partnership of 8 it was a big ask of Ollie and Connor to get us over the line. Despite their best efforts (23 partnership)in the gathering gloom we ended up 19 short. Well played everyone.
