Burley v Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 10 Jul 2010 at
Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Won 5 wickets

Match report Hot day and lost the toss again. we bowled ok and fielded alright but could have been better. as always they only had 4 bats but we didnt get any them early enough. Mentions for trebeard for no luck, seth for a great first spell for the twos and evs for 3 wickets in last over. 238 was always going to be a big ask. Ash got us off to a flyer and all looked fine until they bought on a javelin thrower (sorry bowler)who was quick and straight. Pitch was getting worse which didnt help and ian and i had to avoid bouncers from their spinner!!
I fell for my customary 40 odd but ian went on this time for 88 in his best knock for me. Moses struggled early on but battled through and ran like a gazelle and sammy hit a couple of lusty blows to get us home. An outstanding win against all the odds
