Match report

P & S played away at hambeldon on a grass wicket. This was a new experience for them as up until now, every game played had been on astro turf. Unfortunately we lost the toss and hambeldon decided to bat. Everyone bowled well and wickets were shared around with Ryan Owen and Ned picking up a wicket each. As well as this, the run rate was kept at a manageable rate. However, we weren't as active in the field as we usually are which allowed hambeldon to get a few too many easy singles, that made their score a bit more challenging to chase.

Charlie stepped up to open with Ollie, but with the early dismissal of both of them, a collapse began. Dylan looked set to attempt the chase but with a bit of a risky single and some good fielding, Dylan was run out. With no one else left to bat, our innings fell far short of Hambeldon’s total and we missed out on the win. On to the next one.
