Match report Three on the bounce thanks to an excellent bowling and tight, error free fielding display.
Graham Chandler improved on a decent debut with an outstanding spell full of pace and wicked in-duck to the righthanders. At the other end Big Matt Williams found movement and bounce, despite not quite getting to grips with the undulating approach to the crease, and helped by a cracking catch from debutant Jono Willey finished his allowed spell of 7 overs with 1 for 14. Smart catching from the Shermanator at slip started GC's haul but his remaining 4 he did all on his own, castling 3 and a back leg LB finished it. Taking over GP swung it like the sixties and found Sherm's safe hands early before rounding things off thanks to very sharp work from Smudge. In between Jono put his first notch on his bowling boots and was unlucky not to have added more.
Chasing the runs was likely to be acheived but I was really pleased with the way we did it. Both JD(now averaging 101!) and Sherm were positive from the word go with cuts, drives and a pull seeing us home in less than 18 overs. Well played boys. We need to keep up these high standards.
