A well played game - a strong bowling performance set things up well. Jamie started the slide effecting an early run out before Alex and Smudge teamed up for the first of 3 bowled Fletcher stumped Smith entries. While Jake & George went wicketless neither got collared to any great extent. Jamie bowled with intelligence, using Mark's stumping skills again and a slower ball.
Chasing 102 we had a measured start with Rob & Jake both looking comfortable. Rob departed trying to up the rate. Despite Alex hitting the back wall twice Jake had to watch first him them Jamie come and go. By this time overs were running out but Jake then took a more agressive role and this coupled with a number of leg side wides took us into the box seat. Retiring at 26 Jake had seen us all but home and he left Smudge and George to collect the last 8 required off the first three legitimate balls of the final over. Well batted Jake, bowled Alex & Jamie and great glove work Mark.
