Match report For the second outing running we took the field with 5 men, but again they did us proud. Tristan quickly retired with a forearm smash for 6 the pick of his shot making. Umar timed the ball too well to end up running himself out but Davo built into his innings and retired in style too with the third of his sixes. With overs ticking down, Lenny and Cam took us through the maximum batting points mark before Cam was run out off the penultimate ball. Lenny finished with a very creditable 17n.o. out, including one crunched 4.
Good straight stuff from Cam earned him an early LBW shout and brain freeze from their other opener gave Umar the chance to effect a run out with Tristan's help. Their number 3 batted well to retire but more rather spooked running allowed Tristan to run out the number 4. While we took no more wickets the chances came (and went), with us finishing 34 runs to the good.
