Match report Well lads, I think we all learnt something tonight.

A very impressive batting performance from us getting us to a highly respectable score. Jack and James kept the score board ticking nicely at the start and both retired in good time. Portsmouth fielded well and in particular a number of direct hits. However after some tight middle overs, Tom and Fin batted very well in the back end of the innings running hard and in particular punishing the short ball.

It is common knowledge that we weren’t at our strongest with the ball tonight but there are definitely some very positive signs. In particular, a big shout out to Rob in the field who left nothing out there and almost took a blinding catch.

But the main learning point for us today was, no matter what happens on or off the pitch, we have to look at ourselves and our own game. Keeping yourselves up for the competition and the mental side to cricket is debatably one of the largest factors to winning games of cricket.

But keep your heads up boys, we go again, you did yourselves proud!
