Match report Not our finest outing. With the bat only Freddie really got going before an unfortunate run out. Tristan C battled hard but also perished run out as did Alex. As well as Gosport bowled we were architects of our own downfall as we looked too often to find the back wall when soft hands and confident running would have been far more productive.
With a small target to gun for they didn't set the world on fire chasing but did more than enough. The two wickets to fall went to Alex, the first a very apologetic LBW "shout" and a stunning caught and bowled.
It's a shame we didn't bring our A game tonight as Portsmouth beat Waterlooville in a cracker on the court next door which had we have won would have given us a great shot at the top. Still, its another experience we can use in matches to come.
