Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Indoor U13s v Emsworth on Sun 24 Sep 2017 at 4:15pm
Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Won by 100 runs

Match report A really good batting performance set this one up. Umar crashed the first ball for 4 but it was his opening partner Harrison who retired first with a maturely managed innings, finding gaps and calling confidently. Umar wasn't far behind having added two maximums to his tally. Jack had to keep his concentration as the inexperienced opposition lost their radar a bit but when in range he combined back wall hits with running. Finlay enjoyed his first indoor bat for the club as he tucked some good ones away and made it back in the hutch. With Tom on one leg, Elliott was unlucky to be run out but that brought Harrison back in and he finished unbeaten to see us to an excellent total.
With the ball we were much tighter which made it tricky for our opponents to chase. All the boys bowled well and Harrison grabbed our second wicket with the help of Jack's hands after Umar had kept his head to earn us a run out. While we got no more wickets we ran out convincing winners.
Well done all.
