United Services v Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club 1st XI on Sat 17 Jun 2017 at 1.00pm
Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Won by 68 runs

Match report The visitors returned to winning ways after the Longparish disaster and comfortably won a high-scoring affair on a good batting pitch at Burnaby Road.
The match was notable for two outstanding performances which happened simultaneously but did not really impinge on each other.
Conrad, playing in his first Hampshire League match, played an innings which will live long in the memory. He was on 47 when Jack was bowled by the precocious Freddie Gadd to end a partnership of 92 in the 17th over.Conrad's fifty came from 52 balls. He and Matt added 53 before the latter succumbed to Gadd's slow left-armers in the 27th over. Tom joined Conrad who posted his century from 96 balls, his footwork being exceptionally impressive. During this partnership, the 14 year-old Gadd finished his spell without conceding a single boundary while carnage was the order of the day from the Railway End. His control of length and maturity were astounding.
Conrad reached 150 from 118 balls and was eventually run out by a direct hit with almost four overs to go. He and Tom had added 153 in 19 overs. Tom then accelerated and with Rob running like an electric hare, 36 were added.
The home team replied with an opening partnership of 79 at five an over, dominated by Tom May who found the boundary regularly. Dixon and Nadathar then compiled a partnership of 67, before the latter's dismissal began a crucial collapse in which four wickets were lost for two runs added. Keiron took three of these in eight deliveries. A score of 148 for 5 with 18 overs left gave US a massive task, but Parker and Hounsome raised the score by 60 in only 8 overs before the latter was caught at long-off. Easton joined Parker and playing aggressively, took the total to 251 before Parker departed to a skied catch. Although the game was up for US, Jain hit three consecutive boundaries in an act of defiance. He and Lilley denied the visitors the last bowling point after a great day's cricket for the sunburnt spectators.
