Match report An excellent team performance saw the lads bounce back from Wednesday's disappointment at Old Netley as King Arthur put Petersfield to the sword.
Losing the toss and being asked to bowl, P&S were under early pressure as the opening pair raced to fifty off only 5 overs on a very small outfield. However the lads stuck to their task and took regular wickets, Flynn taking an excellent catch off Charlie's bowling, then Charlie running out the dangerous Futcher with a direct hit from the boundary. When Aymes retired on 35 P&S were into the tail and quick wickets from Harrison E's wicked spin (2), Tristan and Ben skittled Petersfield for an unlikely 104.
Tristan and Arthur opened, and with 17 coming from the 1st over, the nerves were settled. Mistakes had been learned from and the pair batted sensibly but confidently and racked up 56 before Tristan toed a low wide one to cover. Harrison R came in and carried on the good work, before Arthur retired on a fantastic 37no. Charlie, Tom and finally Nerash all held an end well as the lads chalked off the runs, before Harrison finished with a flourish; bowled a shoulder height full toss, he swiveled to crash it behind square leg for 6 and seal the win.
A fantastic performance from all the lads and great to see them learning from last week's defeat and improving their game management.
