Match report Despite having won the toss, P & S struggled against the Alton opening bowlers and were 33 for 4 after 15 overs.Matt B and Sayeed then added 59 but it took 19 overs. Tom F and Chris put on 50 for the seventh wicket, but the feeling was that 172 was inadequate.
Matt struck in the seventh over (18 for 1) but Paul and Gadsby enjoyed a partnership of 93 in 22 overs. Paul's wicket clinched a bowling point, but made little difference to the outcome of the match.
Purbrook's win killed off any lingering promotion hopes and Ropley's victory took them into third place.
