Match report Losing the toss meant we were straight back into the field, looking back I should have asked for a break between games on a hot day. So sorry about that.

Sarisburys No2 attacked hard and was finding the boundary regularly, once he had retired we gained soem control but they had got away to a good start with 45 off 5. Harry and Jacob took three wickets between them and we were in the game. Nick took a wicket and then Harlan grabbed a couple in the final over.

140 to win on a small pitch looked do-able. We lost Dan early on but Harlan and Harry took us well past 1/2 way to the total with wickets and overs in hand. But in the space of 2 balls Harry retired and Harlan was caught. Once again Jez steadied us, but we lost Dimash, John and Joe in quick time and were now looking at a rising run rate too. Jez was caught and we were looking at 10 an over for the last few overs. Ben and Ollie took it to the last over but we were all out 6 short with 3 balls left.

For once our middle order that had served us so well didnt click, but we could also look back on missed chances and misfields.

The U17s league gave the few U17s we have cricketing opportunity and yet more opportunity to our U15s so it was a worthwhile league for us. Thanks also go to Jacob and Jack R for supporting this team for us.
