Match report A resounding win. Set up by good innings from Harry, Harlan and Freddie (with a maiden U15 retirement), helped considerably by a generous extra count we amassed an imposing 172. This might have been better still had we have not abandoned our more calculated approach of taking threes and only looking for boundaries when on offer. For the second match running the final over cost us a couple of wickets for less than 7 runs. Something to think about.
Defending such a total can sometimes see a relaxed bowling performance but this wasn't the case as our quicks, Harlan and Dan, beat the bat (plus Ollie's hands and chest!). It was our spinners though that caused real havoc as Nick's debut indoor match saw him twist the ball into the stumps on three occassions while the Gadd boys kept it in the family bowling and/or catching the remainder.
A solid performance. Well played.
