Match report A hat-trick of wins. On a rather "sporting" pitch our bowling attack proved too strong for Capital as we skittled them for 88.
The Bullen/Wilson opening pair bowled with control and in deano's case real venom picking up his wicket with a lifter that their best bat could only fend to Buckets Cleary sprawling in the gully. (now thats a phrase I never thought I'd be typing!). Thereafter they accumulated steadily and at 80 for 2 looked well placed. Enter Messrs McBride and Williams who barely put a foot wrong picking up 5 between them with the help of more good catching. It was quite a sight seeing the teams fast bowler taking a diving catch and effecting a run out from only a few yards from the bat. The coup de grace was delived swiftly by the Bunny Monster Rippin castling 3 for 1 run in 1.1 overs.
Our batting started in a positive vain with Dan and particularly Owen crashing boundarys. A couple of qickish wickets didn't dent the chase too much as Owen continued to find the rope. With the winning post only 10 runs away (and a well deserved 50 only a boundary away) Owen had a rush blood and ran past a decent delivery and was bowled. This brought Ian to the crease who promptly swatted his first ball for 6 and two balls later we were home.
