Portsmouth & Southsea Cricket Club Lost nine wickets

Match report Having made a positive start to the innings through Sean and Ollie (after the journey from hell for most of the side into the new forest!) we were optimistic we could set a challenging total. Ollie and Phil carried on after we lost Sean and with late support from Harry and Bergy, Dans 60* and Phils unfortunate 49 formed the backbone of our 187. We felt this score would give us every chance.

Unfortunately despite all the bowlers trying gamely and us taking the chase to the final overs. We just couldn't get wickets. A single run out to show for all the bowlers efforts. A really frustrating afternoon where not a catch went down. We beat the bat, didn't bowl any real poor stuff and just couldn't get the wickets we needed. Mention has to go to Daniel Turner who was superb in the outfield all day.

Tough one to take but a much improved team performance from the past week. Good effort all.
