Match report An awesome stand of over 250 between Sam Treagus and Krishan Patel saw us to a monster score of 302-3. Krish was powerful in his dismissal of the spinners and drove the ball beautifully early on, before savagely putting away some ordinary change bowling as the innings wore on. A wonderful innings to see. At the other Sam Treagus has truly never looked better in making his first league 100. Solid in defence and typically powerful when driving and pulling he was fantastic in reaching the milestone having played the supporting role to Krish for so long. Well done boys.

Defending that total was always going to be likely but we were poor in the field early on aside from Dan Ts fantastic catch and dropped Andy King who made his own excellent hundred in a defiant innings. Matt Williams again looked a class apart bowling on the day and showed how much he brings to the side with the ball and in the field. We were then far better after drinks in the field with matt and Krish holding on to good catches and we were soon in control. Ben Jackson looks a much improved bowler this season and he was impressive for the third game running claiming two well deserved wickets and I chipped in with a few to ensure we only left one point on the field. A much needed and well deserved win that shows when this club gets its players fit and available it has more than enough for anyone. Just needs to happen more often!!!
