Match report A good game in which we battled hard but, but for a purple patch in the field, we were probably behind pretty much all of the way.
Excellent bowling for them early on set the tone and despite Jason & Phil getting starts only Rich could go on for a battling and well deserved 56*.
Their opener shot out of the blocks swinging hard at both Dan & Harlan. However, Harlan got through his defence and Dan put the breaks on. The introduction of Toby really got us going with 2 scalps bowled in his first over while at the other end, Connor found a magic ball to see off no. 5. Sadly that was our last success and while Jacko sent down a very commendable 9 overs they carefully and chancelessly built, in the end crossing the finish line with 4 overs to go. We bowled well but just couldn't post enough runs to give us the comfort. Next week then....
