Match report A stinking hot day and being asked to bowl on a real "homers" artificial, things didn't start well. A long first over and a couple of simple catches went down early and we might have worried. However, Connor came back well and Harlan was his usual tidy self. A direct hit run out from Ollie got us rolling. Change bowlers Charlie and J started to get us back in the game with Jim sneaking an highish LBW but missing out on a close shout next ball. At drinks Harlan came back to grab a deserved bowled scalp and Charlie closed out his spell with Simon doing great work whipping the bails off down the leg side. There after, although Jim deservedly took the final wicket with an other LBW, it was the Saunders Show. Harlan helped out with a catch at square leg and the leaping Rob grabbed a slash spectacularly at slip but the three yorkers that bowled his men gave Connor a maiden 5 fa. Well bowled.
With the bat Charlie stroked a couple of fours through cover before nicking off leaving Simon and Rob to bat well to get us into the 80s. When Rob perished Simon expanded his game and with Mark took us to within 15 before Mark saw a leading edge settle in the bowlers hands. An all run four between Ollie and Simon took us to within 2 and a full toss cracked for 4 took Simon to a good 50 and us home.
