Match report A great result to gain full points against a good Sarisbury side. A tight first few overs stopped Dan & Harlan skipping along at their usual rate and Dan perished not quite middling a full toss. Harlan found the back wall and he and Ollie got into their running stride. When Harlan retired Dan T soon lost Ollie as he also mis-hit a full toss. Dan & Will did a good job but the bowling was straight and difficult to get away so by the time we reached the last over we only had 100 on the board. After 3 wides Dan & Henry perished in the cause but Harlan returned for the last three balls to finish 6-6-1 (the biggest hit of them all) and drag us to max points.
They got off to a bit of a flyer but Daniel T's second over put the breaks on. Hitting a great length Henry got both openers with the help of Harlan's catching & Ollie's gloves. Dan C sent down two great sets but star of the show tonight was Will who took the ball past two outside edges to have Ollie whip off the bails, build the pressure to allow Daniel C to effect a run out and take their last man when Dan C took a great sliding catch in the corner.
While unlikely, tonight's performance means we still have a slight chance of the title. Fingers crossed...
