Match report A match we could have won. Winning the toss we put them in expecting the rugby camp pitch to be bat well for the second innings as it has done in our last two matches. However, this wasnt the case!

Their 160 was probably 20 above par and partially as a result of our 19 wides, which is a shame after last weeks bowling display. All bowlers did bowl good balls and Kai and James were unlucky not to claim wickets. It was good to see Jamie claim his first two wickets, Connor one wicket and a strong bowling performance from Jacko 1-21 off 10 overs - well done. Good fielding from Jamie, including a caught and bowled, a super catch from young Ollie Smith and a diving take from Sean. Good gloves from Smudge on an inconsistent wicket in winter winds!

In reply we were 2 for 2 off 5 overs due their tight bowling and the diminishing quality of the pitch. Simon getting an absolute shocker of a bounce. Cleary and Mark P steadied the ship until James got bowled from a wind assisted delivery on 27 for 3. Sean (playing on one and half legs this time) played some superb shots punishing bad balls and running bravely (three 3's) as the long grass prevented the ball naturally rolling to the boundary. Sean and Mark P put on 60 for the fourth wicket taking us to 89 for 4 off 25 overs and in with a real chance of victory needing 71 off 17 overs with 6 wickets left. However, very tight bowling from their next bowling change made scoring very difficult. Mark P departed at 108 for 5. Further tight bowling restricted us to 126 for 7 wickets with Smudge playing some nice shots.
