Match report A great effort from the first team to beat a tough Alton 2's side.
Having lost yet another toss and being asked to Bowl the Alton openers took hold of the game early doors, chances to take an early wicket were being missed, the skipper spilling one at first slip started the flurry of dropped chances and Jack Penn made the most of his 7 lives after that ! Seth Jackson bowled very well tying up one end and wickets gradually tumbled. 214 was a decent score, but it could have been alot worse.
In reply Ash once again showed his class and along with Benny scored steadily to leave us needing 7 an over with 15 overs left but thankfully wickets in hand. Sam and Ed Coulson on his debut did well, but it was really down to Ash who once again hit an unbeaten century (125*) and saw the boys home in the final over.
