P&S met Hambledon for the second time this season on Monday night, this time at Ridge Meadow on a hard fast out field and an all weather wicket. Hambledon won the toss and decided to bat. P&S mixed the bowlers early and the tactic paid off keeping Hambledon to 17 after 5 overs. As Hambledon began to open up Ed Lewis retired on 25 with a huge 6. P&S then started to gradually pick off the wickets, but with 3 overs left Hambledon reached 99 for 5 and a good score looked on the cards. Bowlers Sam Collings-Wells and Seth Jackson then slammed the door to concede only 8 runs and grab 3 wickets before the end of the innings, Seth getting 12-3.
P&S got off to a good start batting, but Seth Jackson fell for 13 in the fourth over after an opening partnership of 33 with Sam Collings-Wells. Sam went on to retire after hitting four 4s. A small collapse aided by 4 excellent catches from their wicket keeper Sam Jackson then added excitement to the proceedings before Ed Hands steadied the attack. Some good supporting cameos from Kai Pidgeon and Prashanth Ramaraj allowed Ed to retire on 21 before Sam returned to finish the game with a quick 8 runs leaving P&S the winners by 2 wickets in the 18th over.
