Match report Havant and P&S met in ideal conditions to fight for the top spot in the U15A league. Havant won the toss and chose to bat. Tim Jackson and Ed Reed opened for Havant. However , the partnership was short lived when Jackson took on the arm of Sam Collings-Wells and was run out in the second over. Reed clearly liked the ball coming onto the bat from the attack of Leo Patterson and Sam Corbett so P&S Captain Seth Jackson (3.4-1-7-3) put himself in to bowl. He removed Reed (15) with a catch by keeper Tom Farnworth on his fourth ball. Havant’s James Christian (19) was the home team’s top scorer, but was removed by U13 bowler Charlie Corbett who was pick of the P&S bowlers (4-1-13-4). Havant were bowled out for 90 in the last over.

P&S opening batsmen of Seth Jackson and Sam Collings-Wells began positively against attack of fast bowler Tim Jackson and slow bowler Ed Reed with an opening partnership of 23. S Jackson (15) was the first scalp caught by Mason off Reed. His dismissal brought Ed Coulson to the crease for the first time this season. From that point Coulson(22no) anchored the innings allowing the rest of the team the freedom to play their own games. The partnership reached 45 when Collings-Wells(34) was bowled. Seb Herold (0)was bowled by a ball keeping low from Mike Smith. Tom Lavery(6no) then stayed with Coulson to chase the target down in the 15th over with 7 wickets to spare.
