Match report A decent performance vs the best side in the division still saw us 30 runs lite but with more than enough points to ensure survial. Well done lads.
Putting Havant in our fielding was challenged as they began running everything straight from the off. That said, when the back wall was on offer they hit it too! Jake was the pick of the bowlers although our only wicket not run out came from a waist high full toss from Rob that was hammered onto the truncking and dollied down for strange C&B.
Robs luck changed however as first ball of the our innings Alex called for quick run and Rob had to keep on running straight out of the hall. Karma's a strange thing. Having batted really well to retire Alex had the same experience, as Smudge arranged his demise on the first ball of his return! Some superb hitting from George Allrounder Chapman meant the game was still on going into the closing overs. However, despite several back wall hits the 30+ we needed off the last over was a bridge to far for Mark who had played his hand well.
